This is a recipe from my Sri Lankan friend. It is quite different from the usual cucumber salad that I make. Try this only if you can stomach fresh chillies.
Ingredients:
2 big cucumbers
Salt to taste
10 twin shallots, sliced
3 green chillies, sliced
2 limes
1 cup thick milk from 1/2 grated coconut
Method:
Groove unpeeled cucumbers with a fork and then cut into thin slices.
Squeeze lime juice and add to the rest of the ingredients.
Mix well and serve immediately
